Dr. John Andrews loves being an orthodontist because he knows how empowering a smile can be. When he transforms his patients’ smiles, he knows he is not just improving their oral health, he is also building their self-confidence and improving their potential in their social and professional lives. Dr. Andrews’ approach is to treat his patients the same way he would treat his own family. He aims to provide services that are both clinically excellent and highly personal.

Education

Dr. Andrews attended dental school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated summa cum laude. He completed his orthodontic residency at Louisiana State University’s Health Science Center. He was honored with many prestigious awards throughout his schooling and maintains numerous professional affiliations to allow him to deliver the highest quality of care to his patients.

Family and Community

As a father of four boys, Dr. A stays busy with sports and activities for his boys. If they don’t have games or practices, they enjoy outdoor activities and traveling or going to the lake to wake surf. Dr. Andrews is committed to giving back to the Brazos Valley. He helps support our local schools and created the Smile Heroes Foundation that helps to provide reduced fee orthodontic care to those in need in our community.

Continuing Education

The field of orthodontics is always changing and advancing. Dr. Andrews stays on top of orthodontic developments by regularly participating in continuing education courses to ensure his patients will always have the latest orthodontic treatments available to them to help achieve the best possible outcome.

Smile Heroes Foundation

A confident smile can change your life.

The Smile Heroes Foundation helps make that possible by providing orthodontic care to adolescents in need. Since 2016, we’ve supported over 100 young members of our community with the care they deserve.

Here’s How It Works:

A selection committee reviews the candidates nominated to receive assistance with their orthodontic care. Anyone can submit an application for themselves or on behalf of a family member or friend that needs orthodontic treatment.

How To Nominate Someone:

If you or someone you know in the Brazos Valley area would like to be considered for assistance with orthodontic care, please provide the following in one single email or packet:

• Provide photos of applicant’s teeth with their name and date of birth.
• Applicants must write an essay about why they want braces and how having a new smile could positively impact their life.
• Provide 2 letters of recommendation from a teacher, youth minister, coach, or community member that knows the applicant well.



Applications can be mailed or dropped off to the Andrews Orthodontics office. They can also be submitted by email to info@aorthodontics.com.
